TWO WAY VOICE

Two-way voice provides a faster response by emergency authorities. Only when a SafeTouch system is activated can the two-way activate. At this time our operator is now listening and has the ability to talk. Any would be burglar is now identified, providing the police verified information to make the arrest.

Non-verified alarms do NOT have the same priority as verified alarms. Many police municipalities only respond to verified alarms. This is the growing trend throughout the country.

NEW FLORIDA LAW:
The 2007 Florida Statutes
Tittle XXXII Chapter 489
REGULATION OF PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS CONTRACTING
489.529 Alarm verification calls required.—All residential or commercial intrusion/burglary alarms that have central monitoring must have a central monitoring verification call made to the premises generating the alarm signal, prior to alarm monitor personnel contacting a law enforcement agency for alarm dispatch. The central monitoring station must employ call-verification methods for the premises generating the alarm signal if the first call is not answered. However, if the intrusion/burglary alarms have properly operating visual or auditory sensors that enable the monitoring personnel to verify the alarm signal, verification calling is not required.

closed answer Question 1: How is the two-way voice system activated?

The two-way voice system can only be activated by an actual alarm condition. In other words, a break-in, emergency, or fire alarm condition must be triggered before SafeTouch is called and the two-way voice communications system is activated.
closed answer Question 2: Is the two-way voice system activated when a trouble condition occurs on my system?
Answer:

NO! Your system will inform SafeTouch of the troubled condition, but the two-way voice communications system will never be activated.
closed answer Question 3: Is there any way SafeTouch can “listen in” to my conversations?
Answer:

NO! Your privacy can’t be compromised. Remember, the two-way voice is only activated by an alarm condition and its subsequent call to SafeTouch.
