Lester Jackson started his security company in 1984 at the young age of 22 years old. With his natural love for electronics and his desire to help others in just a few short years he was doing security systems for major banking chains, food chains, hospitals, trucking terminals and high end homes.
Lester soon discovered the world of pagers, which he started his own paging company and integrated the first security systems that communicated with pagers. Lester even invented a one touch button for security in 1995 that paged customers just to let them know their child arrived home safely.
At one time for a period of years Lester was so concerned with families that he gave every SafeTouch customer a free pager with free air time just so they could keep up with their loved ones or businesses.
In 1997 Lester constructed the SafeTouch free standing UL monitoring station designed to exceed UL construction requirements and natural disasters in the United States.
Lester has assembled a staff that together has developed back up monitoring called Sky Guard that can use radio, satellite, cellular or all three to provide back up monitoring.
Lester’s commitment to his central station led to a guaranteed 45 second or less response time, the only one in the security industry.
Lester still enjoys coming to work every day and takes pride in his hands on approach to running his business. His desire to serve others has resulted in SafeTouch being the fastest growing alarm company in the Southeast.
